2. Who can use WhatBasis

  • You must be 18 or over to create an account.
  • You must be 18 or over to buy anything on the site.
  • You are responsible for keeping your login details secure.
  • One account per person.

3. Acceptable use

  • Do not use the complaint generator to make false or malicious submissions.
  • Do not submit content that names third parties in an abusive or defamatory way.
  • Do not scrape, copy in bulk, or reverse engineer any part of the site.
  • Do not attempt to bypass paywalls, rate limits or account controls.
  • We may suspend accounts that break these rules, without refund.

4. Payments, renewal and refunds

  • Membership costs £6.99 per month. Eligible new members receive a 7-day free trial; a card is required. Your eligibility and first charge date are shown at checkout.
  • After the trial, membership is billed monthly in advance and renews automatically until cancelled. Cancel before the trial ends to avoid the first subscription charge.
  • You can cancel under You → Settings. Paid access continues until the end of the paid period. Your cancellation confirmation shows when access ends.
  • Your statutory consumer rights, including any applicable cancellation or refund rights, are not affected.
  • If something is charged in error, contact us and we will put it right.

5. Intellectual property

  • The site, its text, layout and branding belong to WhatBasis.
  • Letters and drafts you generate are yours to use.
  • Audit footage and third-party material remain the property of their respective owners. Their appearance does not transfer ownership to you.
  • You may not republish site content as your own.

6. Availability

  • We do not guarantee the site will be available at all times.
  • Features may change, move or be withdrawn.
  • Planned work may take the site offline without notice.

7. Liability

  • You use general guidance at your own risk.
  • We are not liable for any loss arising from relying on information on this site.
  • We are not liable for the outcome of any encounter, complaint or legal process.
  • Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

8. Changes to these terms

  • We may update these terms.
  • Material changes will be notified on the site or by email before they take effect.
  • Continuing to use WhatBasis after that means you accept the new terms.
